Position Overview
We are seeking a senior technical leader to serve as Contract Lead/Task Lead for a federal multi-cloud data platform initiative. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for driving the architecture, engineering, and security implementation of a complex cloud platform serving federal agency needs.
Job Description
The Contract Lead serves as the senior technical authority for the multi-cloud platform program, leading architecture design, engineering implementation, and security integration efforts. You will be responsible for the technical design and implementation of the platform, development of the ATO package, implementation of Zero Trust architecture, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) systems, comprehensive data security measures, and system performance optimization. This role requires sustained hands-on engagement across the highest-effort technical tasks including build, security, ATO, and continuous monitoring activities. You will oversee all aspects of integration, testing, and deployment to ensure successful platform delivery.
Key Responsibilities
As Contract Lead, you will lead the architecture design and engineering implementation of the multi-cloud platform, ensuring alignment with federal standards and best practices. You will develop and maintain the comprehensive ATO technical package and oversee all security engineering activities. Implementation of Zero Trust architecture and RBAC systems will be core responsibilities, along with designing and implementing robust data security and metadata architecture. You will lead data ingestion engineering efforts and ensure high system performance through continuous monitoring and optimization. Your role includes overseeing IAM implementation, RBAC configuration, and Zero Trust controls, as well as developing automated output review tools. You will manage integration, testing, and deployment activities while providing technical leadership to engineering teams.

Qualifications Summary
- Deep knowledge of Federal IT and security policies, procedures, standards, and methodologies
- Comprehensive technical background in technologies, network devices, hardware, and software
- Expertise in cloud architecture and multi-cloud platform design
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture principles and implementation
- Experience with federal ATO processes and security engineering
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience on Federal IT projects
- At least 2 years of experience as lead on tasks of similar size and scope
- Demonstrated experience in cloud platform architecture and security implementation
Education & Certifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field with 2 additional years of relevant experience.
- Required Certifications: One or more of the following - ISC2 CISSP, CC, ISACA certifications, or SANS Institute certifications
