Position Overview 
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Integration Specialist with expertise in clinical research to support our growing team. As a critical member of our team, you will manage ETL processes, integrating data from multiple external sources into our systems, while ensuring the highest standards of data quality. You’ll collaborate with clinical data analysts, data scientists, data architects, project managers, and research teams to provide the data needed for impactful clinical research. Responsibilities  
  • Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) Management: Design and maintain ETL workflows to extract clinical research data from external databases, APIs, and online sources and transform it into usable formats for internal analysis.
  • Data Integration: Ensure accurate and timely clinical data integration into internal systems and data warehouses, providing accessible data for research teams.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with clinical researchers, data analysts, and project managers to understand data requirements and ensure data is available, formatted, and accurate for decision-making.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement validation checks, error handling, and performance optimization techniques to maintain high data quality and integrity standards.
  • API and Manual Data Extraction: Utilize APIs and manual extraction techniques to pull data from diverse sources, including clinical trial databases and research registries.
  • Develop data pipelines using modern ETL tools and cloud-based services to ensure data flows seamlessly between external sources and internal systems.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Integration Specialist or ETL Developer
  • Strong knowledge of ETL tools and technologies, preferably Python-based solutions.
  • Experience working with APIs and understanding of web services for extracting clinical data.
  • Familiarity with clinical research data standards (e.g., CDISC, HL7) and clinical databases such as EDC systems and CDMS.
  • Experience with cloud-based ETL pipelines and services (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data integration issues in clinical research.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external data providers.
  • Preferably experienced working in clinical trials or healthcare research environments.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages like Python for streamlining data processes.
